Turco
Well, it appears Marty Turco did enough in his first hour-long practice with the Bruins to convince team brass he could at least serve as Tim Thomas’ backup.
The Bruins this evening announced they demoted Michael Hutchinson to the Providence (AHL) farm club. Hutchinson had served as Thomas’ backup during the recent two-game road trip to New York and Toronto after Tuukka Rask was injured.
In a related move, Max Sauve was summoned again from the P-Bruins on an emergency basis. Sauve was up with the big club last week but only practiced without making his NHL debut. He will be available Thursday night against Buffalo should the Bruins need him with both Daniel Paille and Benoit Pouliot battling injuries.

Tonight. I hope… Thomas has been below average for quite sometime and really looks like he needs a break to clear his head. Just getting tired of seeing him give up a couple weak goals in every game, specially the one vs. the Rangers that he was apparently “screened” for the game winner, or maybe the lighting.
I agree MCK, have we sustained at least 1 injury in all of the last 6 games or what?? I suppose tho I would rather have the day to day injuries now than in the playoffs.
So anyone want to take a guess at when Marty might get a start?
Go get em Marty we could use the help between the pipes.
These injuries are really starting to piss me off
