BOSTON — Bruins head coach Claude Julien described winger Benoit Pouliot as “fine” this morning, so it appears Pouliot will not miss a game with the lower-body injury he suffered Tuesday night.
After missing the rest of Boston’s victory in Toronto because of the second-period ailment, Pouliot did not practice yesterday. He took part in the Bruins’ optional morning skate at the TD Garden and should be in the lineup tonight against Buffalo.
Daniel Paille and Andrew Ference also skated, but Julien ruled both players unavailable for tonight. Marty Turco, who had his first practice with the Bruins yesterday, will serve as Tim Thomas’ backup.
The Sabres, overtime winners against Carolina last night at home, did not skate today. There’s some question about whether star goaltender Ryan Miller will get the night off. He’s played in 20 straight games.
