Bergeron was among those who rested/By S. Bradley

WILMINGTON, Mass. — Fresh off extending their winning streak to a historic two games, the Bruins practiced today at Ristuccia Arena.

Well, at least some Bruins hit the ice. Many of Boston’s biggest names did not skate.

Among the missing were Tim Thomas, Patrice Bergeron, Zdeno Chara and Dennis Seidenberg. Daniel Paille and Andrew Ference, who are working their way back from injuries, both participated in the session. Paille and Ference remain day-to-day according to head coach Claude Julien.

With just one goaltender on the ice, Marty Turco saw enough shots to get anyone ready to play in a NHL game. The Bruins play a back-to-back this weekend, with a home game against Washington Saturday and a road game with Pittsburgh Sunday.
