WILMINGTON, Mass. — Fresh off extending their winning streak to a historic two games, the Bruins practiced today at Ristuccia Arena.
Well, at least some Bruins hit the ice. Many of Boston’s biggest names did not skate.
Among the missing were Tim Thomas, Patrice Bergeron, Zdeno Chara and Dennis Seidenberg. Daniel Paille and Andrew Ference, who are working their way back from injuries, both participated in the session. Paille and Ference remain day-to-day according to head coach Claude Julien.
With just one goaltender on the ice, Marty Turco saw enough shots to get anyone ready to play in a NHL game. The Bruins play a back-to-back this weekend, with a home game against Washington Saturday and a road game with Pittsburgh Sunday.

With my vow to go positive about a week and a half ago I saw validation in the paper this morning I think. The Bruins are one goal behind Philly for overall goals scored in NHL 217 to 218. Yet we do not have one player either in the top 20 goal scorers or assists. So 1. We have a very balenced four lines, 2. any line can score, 3. the injuries while a big deal have not killed our scoring cause again we have no idea where or who will score. So why so positive? I guess if you are playing the B’s you worry about Segy line, marchy line and forget the rest. But the stats prove other and I have always said no one has four lines like the B’s in the league or Tim Tom who’s really going to come on strong.
