@McTeagle, I heard Jack say it during the game as well! I actually thought he mentioned it twice, but even once on the broadcast is nice.
I agree that for whatever reason it is, Zanon has played much better of late. I just think he fits in way better with the rest of our defensemen then Corvo does. Seems as though we just needed to give a few games to all the new additions for them to really get acclimated to the system here.
As for Turco, great recovery game for him. Will be really nice for him to take some load off TT down the stretch here, but I’m concerned like Terry said if Tukka isn’t going to be ready. The only thing I can think of is that they know he will be. Otherwise, unless the division lead is in jeopardy, get one of the P’s goalies up for a chance. Is Khoubadin still really hurt?
I don’t think that it’s a coincidence that Zanon’s game has turned around since Corvo’s been a healthy scratch or injured, which ever it is. I know that there’s been some debate about which one it is. I, for one, would be happy if we don’t see him again…
Great call on Paille B-16. My only point of confusion right now is if Rask is not back for playoffs should we not be trying out one of our p Bruin goalies. No disrespect to Turco but he can’t play in the playoffs. I would love to know the back up plan if Tukka is not ready. Maybee I missed something here but I can’t remeber it being discussed.
One thing that has been missed is the fact that Zanon has helped cut down on the turnovers. He had a rough first couple of games but he certainly has played better lately. The Kelly line has certainly played well, and they deserve the praise. I think Paille hasn’t played badly, but the other three mentioned in the poll have just played better, over the last couple of weeks. If Paille had played like he did in the playoffs last year, there is no way that he would be a healthy scratch. All good teams have some players who could easily start/play for other teams, and that is the case for Paille. If he played for at least a half dozen other NHL teams, he would never sit down.
I agree John, I’ve like Pouliot’s game much of the season. Really has seemed to play a lot harder than I’ve seen him in the past, especially with Montreal. But Rolston is the big surprise to me. Really didn’t think he could contribute the way he has.
And Turco last night, wow. The Bs did a good job protecting him at first, but when the shots started flying he was ready.
MattK, you hear Jack Edwards give you a little reference last night? Unfortunately there was no mention of this fine website.
Turco looked fantastic! Had such a good glove. Color me impressed.
I actually hope Pouliot sticks around. He is a fantastic 3rd line player for the Bs. Really been throwing his body around lately, as well as producing.
Not as relevant to this game, but I don’t think it is a coincidence that whatever line Seguin is on fire offensively. Like everyone else, I have seen his bad decisions in all zones, but something about him brings out offense.
In general, I have found officiating this year to be atrocious. Not just against the bruins (the goalie interference was BS). From the linesmen up to Shanny. Ridiculous inconsistency. Worst since the lockout. This really has to be addressed.
If someone had bet me that Benny, Rolston, and Turco would be the threesome that contributed to the big win tonite…I would have lost the dang farm. Got to love the balance of the Bruins! Enough to do it again? Sure hope so…

Few points:

Good Win
