Good point. Also, its not just other teams taking liberties. Shanny is getting in on the action too. If someone can explain to me why Ference got 3 games and Chimera got nothing, I’ll buy them a beer. Plus McQuaid got hurt. Has any player gotten suspended for bad hits against the Bs this year? I can recall one.
I think some teams are starting to take a few too many liberties with the Bruins. I thought there was more intent on Chimera’s hit on McQuaid than what Julien said to the press. After he watches the tape closely, he may view the hit differently. This isn’t the first time; Horton in Philly, Boychuk in Pittsburgh, and now McQuaid vs. Washington. I think some teams feel that if they take-out one of our tougher players, then they have shut down the most important criteria/aspects of the Bruin’s success. I’d like to see all the forwards resemble Milan Lucic, or at least Shawn Thornton and Jordan Caron, regarding physical play, against the next team we playoff contender. As far as the D-men are concerned, they should try and resemble Boychuk’s last period against Tampa. If another team wants to engage further, may the penalty box resemble “old time hockey”.
“He suffered a cut over the eyebrow, and, you know, he wasn’t feeling quite right, and the doctors didn’t want to take a chance of sending him back,” said Julien. No Claude is fine. Hahaha.
Frustrating loss. This sputtering offense has the potential to be the Achilles heel for this team. Something to think about over the coming summer as the free agents become available.

Sorry
My previous post should have said “the next time we play a playoff contender”.

After the game, head coach Claude Julien suffered a cut above his eye and wasn’t feeling well.
Poor Claude.
