Bruins add forward depth with free-agent Hanson

Hanson
The Bruins’ archest enemies have often compared Boston’s style of play to that seen in the movie “Slap Shot.”
Now the Bruins might more resemble the fictional Chiefs after making a minor signing today.
The team announced it has signed center Christian Hanson to a two-way contract. Hanson is the son of Dave Hanson, who was one of the famed Hanson Brothers in the cult-classic Paul Newman flick. Hanson is signed for one year.
Prior to spending all of last season with Washington’s AHL affiliate in Hershey, Hanson skated in 42 NHL games over three seasons with Toronto. He has 3-6-9 NHL totals. Last season with the Bears, he posted 10-11-21 totals. Unfortunately, Hanson’s production isn’t boosted for emulating his dad’s character from the movies. The younger Hanson has never exceeded 57 total PIM in any professional season so far.
Hello! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could get
a captcha plugin for my comment form? I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having
trouble finding one? Thanks a lot!
Rick Nash takes off a few too many nights for the asking price. He certainly has size and the skill set, but he does not play with the hustle or determination of Parise. Let him become a SHARK!
would be the dumbest trade since Al Secord
Also, where did you see that rumor?
No way that Nash trade is happening with Boston. Way to much to give up if that was the rumor.
Might as well throw in Hamilton too. I wouldn’t trade Seguin for Nash even up. Too funny.
What is with all this chatter over the net today with a deal close to being done between our boys and COlumbus. Rick Nash picked Boston as a team he would want to be traded to and all the rumours are Lucic-Krejci-Sequin-1st rounder next year for Nash.Wow.
Some help for the farm. Speaking of books. There’s a book called the Rebel League: The life and unruly times of the W.H.A. It’s one of the best hockey books I’ve read. Funny as heck.
Somewhat off topic, but for those of you who haven’t read “The Making of Slap Shot…” you should definitely check it out.

While we’re on hockey books has anyone read “Behind the Moves: NHL General Managers Tell how Winners are Built”? I’d love to get a copy of this, as I’ve read great things about it, but I have a real hard time spending $100 on a book.
Awesome, sign his dad as well.
