Instead of reporting to training camp with the Boston Bruins in an attempt to supplant a veteran from a roster spot, several top prospects and journeymen players will instead report to Providence’s camp once the lockout, in all likelihood, begins late Saturday night.
Twenty-three players, including four that cleared waivers, were assigned to the P-Bruins today.
They are: Matt Bartkowski,Ryan Button, Carter Camper, Jordan Caron, Colby Cohen, Tommy Cross, Craig Cunningham, Justin Florek, Michael Hutchinson, Jared Knight, Torey Krug, Kevan Miller, Adam Morrison, Tyler Randell, Max Sauve, Ryan Spooner, Niklas Svedberg, Zach Trotman, David Warsofsky, Garnet Exelby, Christian Hanson, Jamie Tardif and Trent Whitfield.
In addition the Bruins assigned defenseman Dougie Hamilton and goaltender Malcolm Subban to their junior teams.

Good question.
Hey matt
If the league starts up at some point in the next couple months, or at all this season, there would be some sort of training camp right? Would hamilton be eligible to attend and make the team? Or does this signify a definite end to his nhl debut this year? Thanks!
