Milan Lucic/By S. Bradley
The Bruins will host the Washington Capitals at TD Garden Saturday in the Caps’ first visit to Boston since they eliminated the Bruins in last spring’s first round of the playoffs.
Of course, the Bruins will continue to be without Chris Kelly because of a broken tibia.
The veteran center spoke Friday for the first time since the injury that ended his regular season, as I wrote for the Boston Herald. The Bruins could conceivably get Kelly back for the postseason depending on how quickly he heals.
•Boston’s odds of getting on a winning streak would be better if the club’s first line finally got into a groove. Milan Lucic thinks the key for him to start producing is to get more shots on net. Here’s my Herald story on Lucic, Nathan Horton and David Krejci’s struggles as a line so far this season.

this guy is so frustrating. turn it on, and KEEP it on, Looch!
Lucic. A ONE time thirty goal scorer. What’s this guys problem? Drama Mama? There are times when he doesn’t even look like an NHL player. Can’t take a pass. Can’t get it out of his own end. I’m puzzled.
