Nathan Horton/By S. Bradley
The Bruins pounded Washington on the scoreboard, 4-1, Saturday, and they punched them with their fists at TD Garden.
Nathan Horton recorded a Gordie Howe hat trick, including his first fighting major of the season (and since last winter’s concussion) and the Boston top line combined for nine points in the win.
Here are my game recaps from the Boston Herald and NHL.com. What a great day for Horton, who got to be the first to wear the Bruins’ new player-of-the-game award, which is a rooster t-shirt. Horton didn’t necessarily need any backup, but Shawn Thornton and Adam McQuaid came to Horton’s defense in the third period.
•After getting revenge on the Capitals, the Bruins will try to avenge another one of their 2013 season collapses in Pittsburgh Sunday. The Bruins-Penguins tilts features two of the best defensemen in the league, Boston’s Zdeno Chara and Pittsburgh’s Kris Letang. Here’s my feature on Chara from NHL.com.

Well the B’s lost to the Pens 2-1. B’s need to fine tune their game. For anyone interested In the B’s bring over Swedish star Carl Soderburg, check out the link below.
