However, one story of a veteran won’t stop moving forward and taking wild and wooly turns. I write, of course, about the travails of Tim Thomas.

The NHL today released its complete regular-season schedule for the 2012-13 regular season.
The Bruins are scheduled to open in Philadelphia on Thursday, Oct. 11. They will play their home opener one week later on Oct. 18 against Montreal.

Patrice Bergeron and the writers that vote for the Selke Trophy made sure that the Bruins’ 2011-12 season earned at least one accolade.
While he would definitely trade it for at least a Game 7 win over Washington, Bergeron won the award for the league’s best defensive forward, it was announced in Las Vegas tonight.

Revival’s and remakes are often a mixed bag.
I mean, there was no reason to remake “The Karate Kid” – a timeless underdog tale that still holds up – but someone still attempted to cash in. In the case of Brian Rolston’s return to the Bruins, the results were mixed and the team befell the same conclusion.

The Bruins player everyone was waiting to be a failure provided plenty of fodder for his detractors at the outset of his stint with Boston after arriving via free agency from Montreal.

The week of the NHL draft traditionally creates an excitable trade market after months of slumber since the in-season trading deadline.
While Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli today described the level of trade talk around the league as high, he didn’t sound like a man ready to pull off any blockbusters before or during the draft in Pittsburgh this weekend.
According to the official NHL draft order released by the league today, the Bruins will have five picks June 22-23 in Pittsburgh.
Their first pick is scheduled to be 24th overall in the first round.
