Chiarelli updates on Corvo, other Bruins UFAs

For the most part, Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli does not want to comment on negotiations with would-be free agents.

So today while announcing new contracts for Daniel Paille and Chris Bourque, he didn’t offer updates on unrestricted free agents Chris Kelly or Gregory Campbell, or restricted free agent Tuukka Rask.

Zanon healthy scratch for Bruins

BOSTON — The Bruins took on the Buffalo Sabres at the TD Garden tonight without veteran defenseman Greg Zanon.

Zanon, who was acquired from Minnesota before the traded deadline, was classified as a healthy scratch.

Zanon set to make Bruins debut against New Jersey tonight

BOSTON — The Bruins, who debuted two new players Tuesday in their loss to Ottawa, will replace one of those new faces with another newcomer tonight against New Jersey at the TD Garden.

Head coach Claude Julien confirmed that Greg Zanon will be in and Mike Mottau will be the healthy scratch on Boston’s back end.

Zanon joins Bruins for his first Ristuccia practice

WILMINGTON, Mass. — In search of their first goal since Saturday, the Bruins got back to work with a practice this morning at Ristuccia Arena.

One guy who probably won’t help the Bruins in the offense department but still might be a key play down the stretch and into the playoffs, Greg Zanon, joined the team for the first time on the ice.

Bruins go on offensive to stock up on defense

BOSTON — Even before Johnny Boychuk was knocked to the sidelines by a Chris Neil hit and ensuing concussion symptoms, the Bruins knew they had to add at least one more veteran defenseman for depth before the stretch run and playoffs.

General manager Peter Chiarelli today added two blueliners, one more prominent than the other, before the 3 p.m. trade deadline.
