WILMINGTON, Mass. – As he normally does, regardless if a player is going really well or having some struggles, Bruins head coach Claude Julien sought out center Marc Savard this morning before practice at Ristuccia Arena.

BOSTON – Bruins head coach Claude Julien is not acting like himself these last couple weeks, and center Marc Savard seems to be the biggest victim of the bench boss’s change of approach.

The idea that Nathan Horton’s struggles were some sort of media creation and that he wasn’t deserving of any criticism he received is laughable.

Unbelievably, Bruins head coach Claude Julien wasn’t asked about the benching of Marc Savard and Nathan Horton for the bulk of the third Tuesday after the game.

TheBruinsBlog.net looks back at the top 10 Bruins moments of calendar year 2010.
The Bruins felt the results of the actions of March 7 for the rest of the season, as it took until May 1 for center Marc Savard to be healthy enough to play after the hit from behind that evening in Pittsburgh from Matt Cooke.
The news today that Sidney Crosby, Alexander Ovechkin and Jeremy Roenick are going to be part of the Dec. 20 broadcast of the Price is Right reminded me of a similar appearance by an NHL star around this time last year.

WILMINGTON, Mass. — Outside of getting the win that eluded the Bruins Toronto, life probably couldn’t be much better right now for center Marc Savard.
He made a triumphant return to action Thursday in a romp of Tampa Bay at TD Garden, then traveled to Toronto, where he got to see his son play in a hockey game in the morning. And then he skated on Hockey Night in Canada against the Leafs.

Bruins center Marc Savard has been more than generous with his time with the local media, including TheBruinsBlog.net, leading up to and after his comeback from post-concussion syndrome.
But often in a 1-on-1 setting, particularly with Elliotte Friedman of the CBC and Hockey Night in Canada, players tend to open up even more.

BOSTON – Everyone on the Bruins had their own way of welcoming center Marc Savard back to the lineup tonight at TD Garden.
But the best thing his mates in black and gold did for Savard was erupt for eight goals in a rout of the Tampa Bay Lightning. After all, the pivot known as one of the league’s premier playmakers, didn’t get on the score sheet in 15:45 of ice time.

BOSTON — Obviously just 35 minutes away from making his regular season debut, Bruins center Marc Savard took the ice — alone — for warm-ups.
Starting goaltender Tim Thomas, who usually leads the team onto the ice, pulled a U-turn at the door in order to let Savard take a quick spin on his own before the rest of the team emerged onto the TD Garden ice.

BOSTON — That he was on the ice with just four other of his teammates this morning for an optional skate at TD Garden doesn’t mean that Marc Savard won’t make his season debut tonight against Tampa Bay.
It just means he wanted to get his work in just in case.

Although he won’t get to be part of the Bruins’ revenge game in Philadelphia tonight, center Marc Savard might get to face the Tampa Bay Lightning or at worst the Toronto Maple Leafs from the sound of things.
Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli confirmed during a conference call tonight that trading Matt Hunwick to Colorado has cleared enough cap space to active Marc Savard when the center is ready.
The timetable for Savard’s return, however, has not changed. Savard said this morning he wouldn’t play Wednesday in Philadelphia but wouldn’t rule out a return after that. Chiarelli said that plan stays in place.
