Bergeron
The Bruins at 6:02 a.m. this morning made official what RDS originally reported in the middle of the night: center Patrice Bergeron has re-signed to a three-year deal.
Reportedly, Bergeron gave up unrestricted free agency next summer for $5 million per year. Bergeron is making $4.75 million in the final year of his deal.
More later.

PHILADELPHIA — After he was dominated by Bruins center Patrice Bergeron at the faceoff dots during Game 1 and 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinal series in Boston, Mike Richards is hoping a little home cooking will help him gain an advantage.
The resurgent play this season of center Patrice Bergeron should be a benefit to more teams than just the Bruins. If Hockey Canada is serious about constructing a balanced team that can play well over 200 feet for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver this February,
No one really knew what to expect from Patrice Bergeron as he attempted to return this season from the Oct. 2007 Grade 3 concussion that cost him the remainder of the Boston Bruins’ 2007-08 campaign.
