BOSTON — After the Bruins held an optional morning skate this morning at the TD Garden in preparation for their game with Montreal tonight, it was learned two of the Bruins’ best players will be headed to the All-Star Game in Ottawa along with goaltender Tim Thomas.
The NHL announced that defenseman Zdeno Chara and forward Tyler Seguin would be among the 36 All-Stars available in the player draft prior to the midseason classic. Previously, Thomas was voted as a starter for the game by the fans.

BOSTON — As far as we know, Tyler Seguin did not oversleep today.
He took the morning skate with the Bruins at the TD Garden and head coach Claude Julien confirmed his team’s leading scorer would return to the lineup tonight against the Florida Panthers.
After beating Pittsburgh Monday and getting into Winnipeg late, the Bruins had to face the challenge of getting up for a game with the Jets tonight.
Everyone managed to answer the bell, except winger Tyler Seguin. That forced the Bruins to scratch their leading scorer and they missed him in a 2-1 loss. It was Boston’s first regulation loss in 16 games.

WILMINGTON, Mass. — Bruins head coach Claude Julien said that Andrew Ference took a maintenance day today and will be back on the ice for practice tomorrow.
Ference was the only player missing for the Bruins at Ristuccia Arena.

Pretty soon I might have to create a Bruin of the Week poll without Bruins star forward Tyler Seguin. Because it doesn’t look like the second-year player plans on tailing off long enough to not be Boston’s best player over any seven-day period.
