WILMINGTON, Mass. — Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli today made official a couple rumors that have dominated the world of Bruins news the last several days.
Tuukka Rask has signed a one-year deal for $3.5 million to stay with Boston, while Alexander Khokhlachev is going to play in the KHL next season.

Fresh off winning the OHL and CHL Defenseman of the Year awards, Bruins top prospect Dougie Hamilton now gets a chance to show the Bay State how much he’s improved since he was drafted eighth overall in 2011 and attending last year’s development and training camps.

A little earlier than in past summers the Bruins’ top prospects and some invitees will be in Wilmington, Mass. starting Thursday for the team’s annual development camp at Ristuccia Arena.
The camp will run through Monday July 2.
Bruins pick five new prospects on second day of 2012 draft

The second day of the draft saw the Bruins use five picks, including one acquired in a draft-day trade with Tampa Bay, to select would-be prospects in Pittsburgh today.
Headlining the group was Charlestown, Mass., native Matt Grzelcyk, whose father actually works on the bull gang at TD Garden.

According to the official NHL draft order released by the league today, the Bruins will have five picks June 22-23 in Pittsburgh.
Their first pick is scheduled to be 24th overall in the first round.
Bruins bringing back their kids starting June 28

The annual summer prospect exhibition that is Bruins Development Camp will commence June 28 and continue through July 2 at Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington.

The Bruins drafted Dougie Hamilton ninth overall last June with designs on him developing into a franchise defenseman.
His rise to elite status continued this season with the Niagara IceDogs of the OHL, and today he was rewarded for his efforts. Hamilton was revealed as the winner of the Max Kaminsky Trophy, which goes to the OHL’s Most Outstanding Defenseman of the Year. Hamilton was third in the voting for the award last season.
Bruins book 10 players as ‘Black Aces’ – will remain in Providence

With the Providence (AHL) Bruins finishing their season last weekend, Boston today summoned 10 players who will skate together in Providence and stay sharp as “Black Aces” should the parent club need them during the rest of the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The players are: Andrew Bodnarchuk, Carter Camper, Craig Cunningham, Josh Hennessy, Lane MacDermid, Kevan Miller, Max Sauve, Ryan Spooner, David Warsofsky, Trent Whitfield.
Finally done with college, Cross signs with Bruins

Considering when he was drafted by the Bruins in 2007 he was first heading to play a season in the USHL, Tommy Cross’s arrival as a pro has seemingly taken forever.
Today the former Boston College defenseman finally took that huge step by signing his entry-level deal with Boston. He’ll now report to the Providence (AHL) farm club for the weekend before the regular season ends. Providence is two points out of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, but it’s a multi-team race.
