This is typical NHL mentality! Cooke was a goon in college hockey, too. This is the same mentality that allows Todd Bertuzzi to continue playing while Steve Moore is permanently disabled.

The moment the hit occurred and no one made any effort to even the score made me think of the pre-World Series championship days when people referred to the Red Sox as a team that needed 25 cabs for 25 players. Apparently, this is a saying that now pertains to the 2009-2010 Boston Bruins. As someone who grew up watching Bobby Orr and the Big, Bad, Bruins, it saddens me to say that.

48 is terrible. He could only land that type of contact in Boston with PC at the helm.

Yes, welcome back.... I agree with Tyler. This team ...what happened? And it's the same here in Providence....at least they are consistent. Can't score.....not tough or skilled enough

Welcome back to the old spot...have you left ESPN?

This season is clearly lost; at least ownership took the hint and lowered season ticket prices substantially for next year.

The hit on Savard was cheap. What I don't understand is why did the Bruins let Cooke skate out of there. The players talked about how close they are and urged the league to take a look. In my opinion, the "team " should have settled things at the end of that game. Bruins teams in the past would have done just that. I think this is the problem with the Bruins in a nutshell.
